left: Rocks can be seen beside the sea. There are many rocks on the island of Banton. The word "rock" is the origin of the name Banton or Banto-on which is what is also the origin of the Bantoanon language.
right: This is the fort in the town of Banton. In the past people would hide here so that they would not be killed or kidnapped by the Moros.
